Delicious potatoes

Recipe for 4 persons (VH25H or VH25)

  • 6 large waxy potatoes
  • 3 shallots
  • coarse salt
  • pepper
  • oregano
  • thyme
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • chicken stock
  • beer
  • butter

Preparation

  1. Peel the 6 large potatoes and make sure the top and bottom are straight. Cut the potatoes in half.
  2. Melt the butter in the skillet and place the potatoes in the skillet. Once the potatoes are nice and crispy, turn them over.
  3. Add salt and pepper. Sprinkle the potatoes liberally.
  4. Add the finely chopped shallots and the finely chopped garlic. Let this fry for a while.
  5. Sprinkle the potatoes with oregano and thyme.
  6. Add half a pot of chicken stock and the thyme and oregano and leave it on the bbq for 30 minutes on indirect fire.
  7. Check regularly that it is not boiling dry, if necessary add some more chicken stock.
  8. Prick the potatoes to check whether they are cooked. Remove the potatoes from the skillet, cover them with foil and let them rest.
  9. In the meantime, let's make the sauce. Add a large splash of beer and let it evaporate while stirring until it becomes a nice sauce.
  10. Place the potatoes back in the skillet and spoon some sauce over them as well. Enjoy your meal.
